Slash and Duff McKagan will not only be on hand for the 2013 MusiCares Map Fund Benefit this week, but the longtime Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver collaborators will share the stage with Stone Temple Pilots and their new frontman, Linkin Park's Chester Bennington.

Both ex-Gunners commented on rehearsals for the show via their Twitter accounts, expressing the fun they were having jamming with the Stone Temple Pilots and Bennington, who also happens to be the MAP Fund's honoree this year.

McKagan, meanwhile, added:

The one thing both Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver have in common is that they both have parted ways with frontman Scott Weiland. But the connections go further than that. Slash has jammed with Bennington in the past as part of Camp Freddy's covers shows and members of Linkin Park, Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver have crossed paths on festivals over the years.

The 9th Annual MusiCares Map Fund benefit will take place at Los Angeles' Club Nokia tomorrow night (May 30), with Bennington receiving the Stevie Ray Vaughan award for his commitment to helping addicts in the recovery process and aiding the MAP Fund's efforts to do so.
