See Dee Snider in ‘Holliston’ Video for ‘Love It Down Your Throat’
Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has a side gig playing Lance Rockett -- lead singer of the Van Halen tribute band Dyver Down -- on the FEARnet sitcom 'Holliston.' And to mark the occasion of the show's second season finale on Tuesday night (Aug. 6), the full video for Dyver Down's first original song was released online.
Behold, if you will, the visual extravaganza for 'Love It Down Your Throat.'
"Ever since Lance Rockett was first introduced on 'Holliston,' it has been inevitable that at some point we would have a musical performance from the overtly sexual, cross-dressing, and '80s-metal-loving character," said series creator Adam Green (quotes via Blabbermouth).
Fortunately for him, he had a willing participant in the famously flamboyant Dee -- and in the video's director, Dee's son Cody Blue Snider, who clearly wasn't afraid to coax a bombastic performance out of his father.
'Love It Down Your Throat' (available now on iTunes) doesn't sound anything like a Van Halen song, but never mind that. What you'll see makes up for it: Dee in makeup that even a drag queen would question, plus a stuffed tiger, a few possibly slutty girls, some cheesy graphics, and copious amounts of glitter. Really, what more could anyone possibly want?
