After Big Legal Troubles, This Houston, Texas Darth Vader Home is Back on the Market
I love seeing weird homes like this in Texas. I love Star Wars. As a matter of fact, that's a subject I could talk about for an hour without any preparation. In no way am I on the same level as an ultimate Star Wars fan, but I could hold my own during a night of trivia. This home in Houston, Texas, that's waaaay out of my price range, had me sitting at my desk having a nerdgasm over how beautiful it looks and how I could live like a member of the Galactic Empire, just without the whole planet destroying moon base.
My Personal Star Wars Fandom
I heart Star Wars. I will not talk bad about any of the nine movies in the Skywalker Saga. I'm a fan and enjoy them all in my own way. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is an underrated spinoff. Solo: A Star Wars Story was good. I loved The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi but have yet to sit down and watch season 2 of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Andor, Ahsoka or The Acolyte. My fiancé will watch them but all she sees when I'm explaining some of the story lines is this gif:
So, it's a little hard to get her to watch these spin-off shows and it's hard to find some time by myself to catch up. I will, so please, no spoilers for any of those shows. Thank you.
Looks Like Darth Vader Driving Up
So, of course, if I could have a Star Wars themed home, I would absolutely jump on it. That's exactly what this home in Houston is inspired by. The outside even resembles Darth Vader.
On the inside, the home looks like a Galactic Empire base just without the whole taking over the universe thing. There's four bedrooms, five full bathrooms, four car garage, wine room, pool and a whole lot more luxury.
Big Legal Issues With the Home
There's been a bit of a legal battle around this home. It has nothing to do with copyrights or intellectual property infractions, it has to do with illegal parties being thrown there. The current owner of the house is alleged to have hosted ticketed parties at the home which violated parking and zoning ordinances (chron.com).
It can be a dream home for someone even if they're not a Star Wars fan or with the legal troubles surrounding the home. While this is out of most of our price range, $3.75 million, it's still fun to give it a look and dream of that awesome nerd haven.
