After four pre-sold-out nights in Stillwater, Okla., and before their upcoming pre-sold-out show in Waco, TX, Cross Canadian Ragweed will be taking their talents north for what will be just their fifth show in fifteen years.

After teasing a show in Colorado last week, it has now been confirmed that Cody Canada and the boys will headline Colorado State University’s Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins on July 21st, as part of the first night of the Professional Bull Riders’ Last Cowboy Standing event.

The Red Dirt rockers have been tapped to replace Tim McGraw, who had to cancel due to a recent back surgery.

“I heard there was actually an offer for this show right when we announced we were getting back together. But we were taking it easy and seeing what was gonna happen. When we heard Tim McGraw canceled, we just thought that PBR had been very good to us for a long time. In the old Ragweed days, they would throw us a bone every now and then and put us on some big gigs. It didn’t take us very long to say yes.” Cody Canada via Rolling Stone.

You'll recall that Ragweed fans finally got what they'd been needing in April, when the boys from Oklahoma reunited after a 15-year hiatus, in style, with four sold-out shows at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They sold over 180,000 tickets that weekend.

“The Boys From Oklahoma” show will come to Texas on August 23rd at McLane Stadium in Waco. The show, which is already sold out, will feature Ragweed, Turnpike Troubadours, Shane Smith and the Saints, Wade Bowen, and American Aquarium.
