(KNUE-FM) We’ve all felt the temperatures drop in recent weeks here in Texas. Time is moving fast, and Christmas will be here before we know it. Obviously, the holidays can be stressful at times but hopefully it’s a time filled with loved ones and you’re able to make some memories.

One of my favorite memories as a kid was Christmas morning with my family. We would talk about what Christmas meant to us, my Dad would read out of the Bible, then it was time for gifts and time together as a family. It’s memories I will cherish always.

But when I was a kid, I didn’t pay as much attention to the little things; I was focused on toys and having fun. And while my parents told us every year that the budget was tight, so don’t be disappointed if Christmas is smaller than normal, they always found a way to make our Christmas time amazing and gave us much more than we needed or deserved.

How Christmas Morning Used to Feel

Before getting to Christmas morning, as kids we were always asked to put together a list of things we wanted, most of the time I wanted toys or electronics. And there was something special about unwrapping that toy that you really wanted.
