Celebrate National Margarita Day On February 22nd
The cool refreshing taste of a margarita is one of the most popular drinks among adults who enjoy alcoholic beverages!
Served on the rocks or frozen, Americans will be celebrating this concoction made up of tequila, triple sec, lime juice and some sugar on Thursday, February 22nd, which is National Margarita Day! The site NationalToday.com conducted a survey of 1000 Americans and found out some very interesting things about those who enjoy a great margarita.
- 67% prefer their margarita's frozen. I for one prefer mine on the rocks with an extra lime on the salted rim!
When it comes to drinking a margarita:
- 32% say they absolutely love them
- 44% say they like them
- 17% say they dislike them
- 7% say they hate margaritas
Well, I'm in the 44%! I do like a great margarita on the rocks with an extra lime on the salted rim, but my preference would be a glass of whiskey with a shot of Coke!
When asked frozen or on the rocks:
- 67% prefer frozen
- 33% prefer on the rocks
I'm in the minority, but I'm ok with it! Just as long as I get to enjoy my margarita on the rocks with an extra lime on a salted rim, I'm good!
- Here's where I am in the majority on the survey from NationalToday.com, a salted rim!
65% of the respondents prefer a salted rim! See my margarita on the rocks with an extra lime on a salted rim ranks supreme with this question!
A weird but intriguing question was asked next; when it comes to the salt on the rim, what do you do with it?
- 26% always lick the salt off the rim
- 74% never lick the salt off the rim
When it comes to my margarita on the rocks with an extra lime on a salted rim, I usually push the salt from the side of the glass to the inside! However, i have been know to lick the side of the glass, but I'm hesitant of doing that because I'm not too sure how well the outside of the glass was washed!
It appears as if I'll be in my favorite Mexican food restaurant Thursday having some nachos, tacos and enchilada's along with my margarita on the rocks with an extra lime on a salted rim!
Cheers! Cheers to responsibility too!
