Breaking: Dallas Mavericks Make Big Trade with New York Knicks
Dallas Mavericks fans, you've got some new players to root for. The Mavs have made a huge trade with the New York Knicks to acquire Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway, Jr. and Courtney Lee according to sportsday.dallasnews.com. The Mavericks will send disgruntled guard Dennis Smith, Jr., center DeAndre Jordan and forward Wesley Matthews to the Knicks.
Both Porzingis and Smith, Jr. have been unhappy with their situation with their respective teams. Smith, Jr. was simply unhappy with his role on the Mavs. Porzingis, currently recovering from a torn ACL, has not liked the direction the Knicks have been taking the last several years.
What this means for Dallas is, when Porzingis is healthy, he'll be teamed up with the Mavericks awesome rookie Luca Doncic to have two of the best European players in the league.
Will this move bring a championship back to Dallas? Well have to see but this is a great trade for Dallas.
