Neighbors Of The Texas Native Have Been Complaining About Her House That's Sitting On The Beach.

Beyonce's Mom Tina Knowles recently made headlines this week after settling her divorce with her husband but now she's in the news for a piece of property that records show that she owns that could be hit with a wrecking ball soon.

The superstar's mom is from Galveston Island.

The Galveston County Appraisal District lists Beyoncé's mom as the owner of the beach house with a market value of $1.4 million. From a distance it looks like another house that's on the beach but upon closer inspection, you'll see why neighbors are upset with the home and its location.

It was hit by Hurricane Ike 16 years ago and the storm-ravaged residence went from beachfront to being located smack-dab on the beach, patched up but continuing to deteriorate according to Fox 26.

Residents are demanding that the home be torn down or moved.

You gotta remember that Hurricane Ike was in 2008 and its 2024 and while new beachfront developments have sprung up, the home remains. A Galveston City Councilmember and resident says Knowles turned down a buyout just after the storm and is still being offered $150,000 by the state of Texas General Land Office to move the property if she chooses.

But now the city says it could issue a demolition order for the home before its potential collapse. If issued, Knowles wouldn't have much time to move the home. Knowles has not responded or could be reached for a comment.
