Interim Austin Police Chief Brian Manley has fired officer Michael Stone after he broke into a female officer's home after their relationship ended according to the Tyler Morning Telegraph.

In July of 2016, Stone, according to officials, used a code to gain access to the unnamed female officer's garage then forced open a door to get inside the home.

Stone was confronted by the female officer and left. He then returned some weeks later and that's when the woman called police.

To make matters worse, Stone continually lied to Internal Affairs investigators about the incident.

Austin Police said in addition to Michael Stone lying to investigators, he committed criminal mischief and brought discredit to the department.
