Alice Cooper has released a lyric video for “Detroit City 2020,” the opening track on his new Breadcrumbs EP, which is out today.

It follows the release of Cooper's cover of the early Bob Seger song “East Side Story,” which also appears on the six-track EP.

You can watch the new video below.

The shock-rock icon's band on the EP features Wayne Kramer of MC5, former Grand Funk Railroad guitarist Mark Farner, former Detroit Wheels drummer Johnny "Bee" Badanjek, singer Paul Randolph and guitarist Mick Collins.

Cooper recently explained that the EP, which focuses on covers of other Detroit artists’ work, was a scene-setter for his next full-length release, which is expected next year.

"The Detroit sound is Alice Cooper," Cooper told UCR. "That’s where we wrote KillerLove It to DeathSchool’s Out and Billion Dollar Babies. I’ve always looked at Alice Cooper as sort of a Detroit band, really. ... We’re a guitar band. We’re a guitar rock band. That’s what we’ll always be. 'Under My Wheels' is probably what an Alice Cooper Detroit band sounds like.”

In a separate interview, he noted that "there's a certain Detroit sound we're looking for. It's indefinable. There's a certain amount of R&B in it. There's a certain amount of Motown in it. … I feel like if we mine around with all Detroit players, we're gonna find that sound.”
