Spring 2023 is officially here! However, we don't need the calendar to tell us that Spring has arrived in East Texas, we have the pollen to do that for us!

The yellow-greenish film has been covering our vehicles and all of our outdoor patio furniture for the past few weeks now and it'll get worse over the next couple of weeks before it gets better. Sorry to all of those who suffer from allergies.

This weekend looks to be great with sunny to partly cloudy skies and very comfortable temperatures hanging in the low 70s. With weather like that, you have no excuse - get outside and do something! 86th Texas Dogwood Trails Celebration

March 22nd - April 7th
Palestine

Celebrating the beautiful blooms on the dogwood trees each week, the Palestine area will be bursting with beauty and visitors for three weeks! The driving trails feature the dogwoods meandering throughout Palestine and each weekend there are special events planned to feature car shows, wine tasting, rodeo, train excursions, and much more. Tyler Azalea and Spring Flower Trail

March 22nd - April 8th
Azalea District Tyler

Dating back to the 1930s, the Tyler Azalea and Spring Flower Trail has a deep history within the city. Each year millions of azalea blooms burst with vibrant color along nearly 10 miles of trails that meander through Tyler's Azalea District. Accessible by vehicle or foot, visitors from around the city, county, state, and nation will be treated to these colorful blooms along with other spring flowers that have been perfectly manicured by their owners.

 

Angelina County Fair

March 18-23
Angelina County Expo Center - Lufkin

The county fair features the livestock show, specialized tournaments, and more.

 

Tyler Azalea Run

Bergfeld Park - Tyler

This will be the 41st year of the Tyler Azalea Run which takes runners on a beautiful course through Tyler's historic Azalea District. There will be 10k, 5k, and kids 1. There is a registration fee to participate in this event.

 

Annual Azalea Arts & Crafts Fair

Saturday and Sunday
Bergfeld Park - Tyler

The annual Azalea Arts and Crafts Fair hosted by the Tyler Parks and Recreation Department is returning to Tyler’s Bergfeld Park this Saturday and Sunday. The Fair will feature more than 90 booths offering handcrafted items for sale. Live entertainment on both days. Admission is free to the public. Food trucks will be available for a fee.

 

Spring Fest

East Texas Arboretum - Athens

Celebrate Spring with the arboretum! Lots of family fun that will include the following:

Lear Park Softball Fields 1-4 will be designated for different age groups and those with special needs. There will be games, arts & crafts, food vendors and, of course, the opportunity to take pictures with the Easter Bunny!

With azaleas blooming, events ramping up, and new activity in Downtown Nacogdoches, now is the time to #VisitNacogdoches for a one-of-a-kind tour of libations in the Oldest Town in Texas.

Board the bus for a private and exclusive tour to visit a few of our more "spirited" partners. Brought to you by the Nacogdoches Convention & Visitors Bureau, our WW&B (Wine, Whiskey, Brew) tours are known for off-the-charts FUN.
