Dec. 28 marks the second anniversary of the death of Avenged Sevenfold drummer The Rev. The stickman, born James Sullivan, died at the age of 28, due to an accidental overdose of a mixture of prescription drugs. An enlarged heart was suggested as another thing that could have factored into the kit minder’s tragic and untimely death.

After much success with their third studio album "The Sound of Madness" Shinedown has hit the studio to begin recording for their upcoming fourth album. More after the jump.

Shinedown told MTV a while back that they hoped to have a new album out by the end of 2011, but it seems they’re giving fans something to tide them over. On May 3rd, the band will release a live CD/DVD collection called Somewhere in the Stratosphere. More after the jump.
