A pair of new Green Day documentaries is being lined up for release to coincide with the band’s upcoming trio of albums, ‘¡Uno!,’ ‘¡Dos!,’ and ‘¡Tre!’ One doc will focus on the making of the three discs, which will drop one at a time starting in September and wrapping in January 2013.

Green Day have issued the third (and seemingly final) video trailer and cover reveal for their upcoming album trilogy, ‘¡Uno!,’ ‘¡Dos!’ and ‘¡Tré!’ This one is for — you guessed i — ‘Tre!’ The clip is 30 seconds long and features the album cover at the end, which boasts the face of drummer Tre Cool with bright pink Xs over his eyes...

Green Day have revealed the track list for ‘¡Uno! – the first of the band’s forthcoming trilogy of new albums.

As Green Day continue to woo us with trailers for their forthcoming album trilogy ‘¡UNO!’ ‘¡DOS!’ and ‘¡TRÉ!,’ the band has announced details on the first single to be released from the upcoming efforts.

Green Day‘s ‘ ¡Uno!’ ‘¡Dos!’ ‘¡Tre!’ album trilogy is launching in September, continuing with the second album in November and wrapping in January of next year. The California band will set the table for this ambitious and much anticipated undertaking with the first single, called ‘Oh Love.’

Twenty-five years in to one of the most successful careers in modern rock, Green Day have announced plans for perhaps their most ambitious project yet: a trilogy of albums titled ‘Uno!,’ ‘Dos!’ and ‘Tre!’ that are due to drop one at a time between September of this year and January of next year.

It makes sense! If frontman Billie Joe Amstrong is ‘¡UNO!’ and drummer Tre Cool is ‘¡TRÉ!, then bassist Mike Dirnt will get a solid look in the second teaser trailer video for ‘¡DOS!’ from the Green Day‘s upcoming album trilogy.

The full Voodoo Music Experience lineup hasn’t been revealed yet, but there are a couple of big names already signed on for this year’s event. Green Day, who will be between the first and second albums they’re releasing this year, will venture to New Orleans just ahead of Halloween. Also confirmed are Neil Young, Skrillex, Bootsy Collins and a small handful of other acts.

We knew that when Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong introduced Guns N’ Roses at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction last April, the crowd booed at the mention of Axl Rose. We didn’t know that Armstrong almost filled in for Rose during a retrofitted GNR set that night.

Even though Axl Rose refused to take part in Guns N’ Roses‘ induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Green Day showed up to induct the band anyway, offering a speech that was part punk rock and part sappy tribute.

Green Day‘s recording pace has certainly slowed over the years — it took them four years to complete ‘American Idiot’ and five to finish the follow-up, ’21st Century Breakdown,’ which was released three years ago — but they’re about to start making up for lost time with a whopping three albums of new music, scheduled to be released between September 2012 and January 2013.
