There have been plenty of rumors, conspiracy theories and accusations over the years, but so far there has been no confirmed ties that Courtney Love had anything to do with Kurt Cobain's death. That hasn't stopped Love's own father, Hank Harrison, from suggesting that his daughter was involved.
Let’s face it, there is no love lost between Courtney Love and Foo Fighters frontman / Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. In the trailer for her new YouTube Channel, Love recently went as far as asking her public, “Is there anybody on the planet who would be watching this that doesn’t know that Dave Grohl and I don’t get along?” The two have had some very public spats throughout the years, stemming back to the rights held by Love and subsequent use of Nirvana music in the wake of Kurt Cobain’s passing.
So, we have all had the question asked at a party or joking around well ... If you had to, who would you do? Juvenile yes, but I still like the stupid funny stuff. So here is a new blog series, "Who Would You Rather?"
Although their relationship has been rocky and very much in the public eye, Courtney Love and her estranged daughter Frances Bean Cobain are communicating again. Of course, most of the dialogue is coming courtesy of Love, but hey, at least it's a start.
Before yesterday's so-called Nirvana reunion with Paul McCartney at the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy Concert in New York, Courtney Love told TMZ that she was "not amused" by McCartney's involvement, adding that "if John were alive it would be cool." She later commented about the event on the Facebook page for author Mark Yarm’s book 'Everybody Loves This Town: An Oral History of Grunge,' posting several notes in her typically rambling and borderline incoherent style. She later returned to the page to respond to some who had commented on her post.
It can’t be easy being Courtney Love‘s attorney. Her former lawyers, Keith A. Fink & Associates, are suing the troubled singer, claiming she stiffed them on more than $466,029.41 for work they performed for her in 2009.
