Keurig has Bought Texas Favorite Dr. Pepper
Dr. Pepper has long been a Texas favorite. It certainly is my favorite soft drink. Now, it will be a part of the company that brought us individual coffee servings at home and owns Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
The deal is worth $18.7 billion, according to The New York Times, and will also bring another drink favorite under Keurig's umbrella, Snapple.
One interesting possibility of this merger is that Keurig could create pods for Dr. Pepper, 7Up or Snapple that you could make at home just like Kuerig does with coffee.
The new company would be called Keurig Dr. Pepper. Many things need to happen before this is official. Government regulators have to approve the deal and so do Dr. Pepper shareholders.
Could be interesting times for my favorite soft drink.
