Winter will soon descend upon East Texas, and bring with it much colder temperatures. It'll be time to break out the jackets and coats to keep our kids warm, but that will not be happening for a lot of East Texas children.

Thousands of East Texas kids will go without a warm coat this winter, that's the sad truth. Through the Coats For Kids campaign with P.A.T.H. though, many kids will have a warm coat this winter thankfully.

Cooler temperatures have invaded East Texas, which are welcomed after scorching summer temps, but the temps won’t stop at being comfortable though, it’ll be getting much colder soon and there are many kids right here in Tyler and Smith County that will go without a coat this winter.

Throughout the entire month of October Smith County residents and East Texans dropped off new and gently used coats at participating dry cleaners throughout Smith County to be cleaned and donated to PATH's Coats For Kids program where kids without a winter coat can receive one for free.

It's hard to believe, but it's already time for one of the biggest events to hit East Texas each summer! The 4th Annual Bikers Rule 4 School is set for Saturday, July 21st. Registration is going on now!
