Matt Cameron mans the drum kit for both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam — two of the biggest bands in rock today. In a new interview with the busy stickman, he reveals why the Soundgarden album was pushed back, when the new Pearl Jam album will be done and how he keeps it all together.

It's hard to believe that Pearl Jam's Ten album is celebrating it's 20 year anniversary this year.  The band is celebrating the anniversary by releasing a documentary and accompanying book and soundtrack this year.  The documentary will be directed by Cameron Crowe! More after the jump.

When talking to drummer Matt Cameron this week, MTV mostly discussed the exciting things going on with his band Soundgarden, but the were able to find out some news about his other band, Pearl Jam. He told them they have some material for a new album ready to go. Audio after the jump.

Linkin Park are contributing music to the upcoming Transformers film. Mike Shinoda revealed on his blog that he spoke with director Michael Bay about continuing to use Linkin Park music in the franchise and chose the song “Iridescent.” Shinoda said a new, slightly shorter version of the song will appear in the film and explained that they are filming a video for the track this week.
