This time last year we were feeling the heat here in East Texas with 100-plus degree days. Add to that about 95 percent of the state of Texas was under a burn ban and that put a damper on Fourth of July celebrations. What a difference a year makes! It’s a bit wetter although just as humid, but we’re able to shoot our fireworks this year (so far at least)!
The Whitehouse Area Chamber Of Commerce invites all residents out to Lake Tyler on June 30 for Lakefest. Lakefest is an event for people of all ages with contests, entertainment, food, swimming, and fun events for the whole family.
