Its tough to ask for help sometimes but there are some really great people in East Texas who want to help and are extending a helping hand if you need one.

Pandemic or not, there should not be people in East Texas wondering where their next meal is going to come from or when it will be, especially children. Unfortunately, that's a situation that many East Texans find themselves in each day.

The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department is inviting players of all skill levels to fling a disc for the East Texas Food Bank during the 16th Annual Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 16.

The problem is, it wasn't enough.

Enjoy popcorn, pretzels, & jelly beans and watch the movie. The only request? Please bring a jar or two of peanut butter to donate to the East Texas Food Bank.

The East Texas Food Bank will host a special showing of the classic movie 'A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving' at the Bergfeld Amphitheater for East Texas families!

This Saturday, May 14th, is the national Stamp Out Hunger food drive.  And all we have to do to help East Texans, is leave some non-perishable food items out by the mail box and letter carriers will pick it up.  Here are some of the top things they need at the food bank.
