After all it is springtime in East Texas and if you've been here for any length of time you know about the potential for severe storms is routine. If you're new, get ready, it could be scary for some.
Here we go again, but then again it is spring time in East Texas. This is the time of the year when we expect storm systems to move through every three or four days, and so far this season, that trend has held up.
Flooding is a big concern throughout East Texas on this Wednesday thanks to the deluge of rain over the last 24 hours. Homes, businesses and lives have been interrupted with the onset of flooding in Rusk, Gregg, Panola and many other counties in East Texas. Temporary shelters have been opened up to provide relief for those affected along with a place to stay while the flood waters recede.

Overnight as much as 5 inches and more of rain fell upon the residents of East Texas. The commute into work this morning may be a tough one for many because a lot of roads - county roads and major roads - are under water this morning.
