As Texans, we know there are a lot of things special about Texas. Things that only true Texans understand completely. Fortunately, for those of who were born as native Texans, we do not have to fight for our right to be Texans, but Conan is not quite as lucky.

Dirk Nowitzki continues to prove that he may want to give show business a try after his basketball career ends.

I found this on Yahoo.com last night and had to share it.  NBA Finals MVP, Dirk Nowitzki, received tons of phone calls and letters of congratulations from other athletes, celebrities, and even the German Chancellor. Which one meant the most to him? A gift he received from Former heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali. More after the jump.

Let's hope that Dirk doesn't quit his day job!  He threw out the first pitch at last night's Texas Rangers game and he obviously thought he was shooting a three pointer.  Either way, Dirk is still riding high of the Dallas Mavericks NBA Championship!  Enjoy the video after the jump.

Dirk Nowitzki had best stick to basketball. The Dallas Mavericks star, who won the Most Valuable Player Award while leading his team to the NBA championship, showed off some less-than-impressive skills when the city held a victory parade on Thursday.

Dirk Nowitzki had been a one-man wrecking machine throughout most of the 2011 NBA playoffs. But on the night his Dallas Mavericks clinched their first-ever NBA championship by defeating the Miami Heat 105-95, he had a lot of help from his teammates.
