Turns out Phil Collins wasn't coming out of retirement to work with Genesis after all. At least not right away. Instead, it looks like he'll be working with British superstar Adele first.

Nominations for the American Music Awards were announced today, and British singer Adele leads the pack with four nominations, including Artist of the Year and Favorite Female Artist.
Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne and country group The Band Perry were right behind Adele with three nods apiece. Perry will perform on the show, as will Pitbull.
With 3.5 million copies sold and chart-topping radio play around the world, Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’ is arguably the song of 2011. You just can’t escape it these days — not even if you’re in the audience for a Linkin Park concert.
At a recent fan club show, band members Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda unveiled their unplugged version of ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ stripping it down to acoustic
