Texas loves food; we've been known to come up with some incredible eats and, in some cases, some hilarious names for our restaurants too. Some have come up with names that once you hear them, you'll never forget them.

These are all real places you can find in Texas and yes they are still open today so you can go see these places for yourself. One place in particular might become a favorite for horror movie buffs...

Some other places that are definitely worth mentioning were (as some of these places are food trucks and restaurants that are no longer around but are still remembered):

• Crapitto's Cucina Italiana in Houston, who had to close their doors in 2014.
• The Evil Weiner in Austin, the food truck has been trying to restart the business since 2023. Hopefully they can.
• and the Lard Have Mercy food truck based in Austin, Texas.

There's a great chance I missed some other places to eat that have some hilarious names so keep your eyes peeled when traveling in Texas. You'll certainly remember these places just by the names themselves. You also might just find your new favorite spot while on a road trip through the Lone Star State.
