July 4th Weekend in East Texas: What to Expect

(Mix 93-1) It's a well-deserved three-day weekend for most East Texans thanks to the July 4th holiday falling on a Friday!

There will be fireworks going off all across East Texas beginning this evening and continuing through Saturday and even Sunday evening in parts of the Piney Woods.

Area lakes will be filled with boaters pulling kids on tubes and water weenies and personal watercraft jetting across the top of the lake. When you're on the water, the most important thing to have on you is your life jacket.

If you're not on the lake, you could be hosting a backyard barbecue and firing up that grill for some burgers and hot dogs and playing some corn hole with your friends and family.

It’s a fun-filled three-day weekend with fireworks and family fun happening all over East Texas.
