Could Matthew McConaughey Be The Next Governor Of Texas?

If the actor makes his debut in Texas politics, I'm here for it. 

It Might Happen

Matthew McConaughey has flirted with the idea of jumping into politics before and he's floating the idea again. I am begging and pleading with the guy, to PLEASE jump in the next race for Governor Of Texas.

We're Stuck

In Texas it is near impossible to break the Republican stranglehold on politics. That's okay, I just don't like the politicians currently representing the party. Let me clarify that again, it's just time for somebody else, even if it's the same party. Then again, Mathew McConaughey could shake thing up.

He Could Win

Trust me when I tell you that McConaughey could win. Most of us are tired of the right/left and the inability to find a middle in which all Texans are happy and can thrive. By jumping in as an independent, McConaughey would be beholden to no party and be allowed to do what's right, instead of what the party wants.

The Man

McConaughey is a student of the world. I recommend his book "Greenlights" to get to know him and the basic decency he represents (his book also sent me on a path of stoic learning that has been invaluable). McConaughey is smart enough to listen to advice from others and too smart to listen to b.s. His best qualification is...he cares.

The Job

McConaughey could be transformative for the State Of Texas and take us back to days reminiscent of the late Governor Ann Richards who represented the state to the world classy way. Yes, he is a "Hollywood Actor", but he is a man of the people, and man of the world through and through. I am 100% ready for Governor McConaughey.
