Texans are heading to the polls today (Tuesday, November 4th) and they'll be deciding who'll be steering the State of Texas from the Governor's office. East Texans are also heading to the polls to make some big decisions facing their communities, like approving or denying the sale of alcohol in their cities. In addition to a lot of other important local issues along with US Representatives and Congressional seats and local offices too.

It's your right to make your voice count and to cast your vote by 7 p.m. tonight. If you're not sure where to go to vote you can find out on the VoteTexas.gov. In order to vote though, you are required by law to show photo identification upon arriving to the polls. You may show any of the following to cast your ballot:

Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety
Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS
United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph
United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph
United States passport
