Yahoo! News has a story today where they quote a Forbes report that says most hotel rooms offer virtually no security at all. Most hotel doors with keycard entry can be hacked with a piece of equipment that costs as little as $50.

The Forbes report talks to a hacker who gives the details of using a hardware gadget he built for less than $50 that can break in to 4 to 5 million hotel rooms around the world. What's worse, he apparently gives the details of his homemade gadget on his website for other would-be hackers to copy!

The next time you are staying in a hotel, don't just depend on the keycard lock to secure yourself and your valuables!
