East Texas' only baseball team that's not high school or college, the East Texas Pump Jacks, are back for their fifth season at Driller Park in Kilgore and they may have a place on their roster for you! OK,  maybe not on the team itself, but working for the organization doing anything from concessions to mascot. They are concluding their job fair tonight (5/21) from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce.

The job fair started yesterday and concludes tonight. Available positions include nearly every role at the ballpark, such as ticket sellers, merchandise sales, concessions, wait staff, the promo team … even the mascots.

General Manager, Mike Lieberman, said:

Our employees are our family, the lifeblood of our organization. It’s our employees that help make historic Driller Park home to the best affordable entertainment in East Texas. It’s a great summer job for teachers, students and others that have the summer off, plus it’s a fun second job for anyone looking for a little extra spending money.

Those interested in being member of the Pump Jacks can attend the job fair, where they will learn the specifics of the available positions and submit applications. Interviews will be conducted on-site, so applicants are encouraged to dress accordingly. Applicants must be at least 16 years old to be hired.

The Pump Jacks’ fifth anniversary season kicks off on June 1 when they travel to McKinney to take on the Marshals. The home opener is Wednesday, June 6, at historic Driller Park against the very same McKinney squad.
