Police in Shreveport, Louisiana are investigating a car crash at the Boomtown Casino parking garage after a 21-year-old woman drove through steel barriers crashing her car three stories below.

According to KSLA.com Robin Alexander of Shreveport died from her injuries a short time later at LSU Hospital.

Emergency personnel had to use the “jaws of life” to free Alexander from the overturned vehicle.

Mark Natale, Bossier City Police Public Information Officer said the incident happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday and no eyewitnesses have come forward.

Police are awaiting autopsy to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
