Woman Accused of Drunk Driving After Drinking Hand Sanitizer

CBS Connecticut has a story today about a woman who is accused of drunk driving after drinking a half-bottle of hand sanitizer! Hey - at least she's a cheap drunk!

Authorities say the woman, Jennifer Wilcox, crashed into another vehicle on October 5th. She failed a field sobriety test with a blod alcohol level of .17. When questioned Wilcox told police she had drank a half-bottle of hand sanitizer. I love the quote she gave to WTNH-TV about the incident:

I just saw it there so I drank it

The TV station reports that the alcohol in hand sanitizer is the same as you would find in beer, wine, or Jack Daniels - it's just more concentrated. The TV station estimates that Wilcox drank the equivalent of 32 shots of vodka!

Hey - at least her kidney's are clean and sanitary!
