Why People Look Forward to July 4th
July 4th is one of the most celebrated days in America — and rightly so! Check out what I’m looking forward to most about July 4th this year!
There are so many traditions and signature events for Independence Day that it leaves Americans looking forward to the day all year long.
As a big fan of holidays, these are my favorite reasons to look forward to July 4th each year:
Friends and Family
This is applicable to most holidays for me, but I love getting to see all of my friends and family around holidays. It’s always fun to hear what they’ve been doing since the last time you had the chance to chat. Plus, without friends and family present, there wouldn’t be any funny stories to reminisce about.
All About America
Independence Day is entirely based on America. If America had not declared itself independent from Great Britain, we wouldn’t be celebrating on July 4th each year! And I’m not one to pass up a celebration in honor of America!
I really don’t even think an explanation is necessary for this – everyone loves good food. The food only gets better when it’s straight off the grill! From burgers to barbecue, potato salad to dessert, July 4th gives Americans a wonderful excuse to eat delicious foods.
I only consider myself a pyromaniac on July 4th. The reasoning behind this is because I LOVE FIREWORKS. They are one of my favorite things in the whole world. The smell of them after they’ve exploded and the show they put on are just awesome in my opinion.
It’s My Birthday!
While I know that everyone does not get to look forward to their birthday being on July 4th, it’s still one of my favorite things about the day! I really couldn’t think of another day that I would rather celebrate my birthday. Between getting to share my birthday with America’s independence, shooting fireworks, eating delicious food and spending the day with family and friends, there’s not a better day all year in my opinion!
