The University of Houston football team is quite possibly among the best teams in the country, but they never quite get the national attention they deserve. That may change this weekend.

Houston beat the Navy Midshipmen on Friday to move its record to 11-1 and advance to the American Athletic Conference Championship this weekend.

The Cougars will play Temple at 11 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 5) at TDECU Stadium in Houston, and general public tickets go on sale tomorrow (Dec. 1) if you want to go cheer them on.

Houston doesn't get the same attention that teams like Florida, LSU, and Alabama get nationally, but these guys are good! They're fun to watch, they've got great team spirit, and they just might surprise a lot of those analysts and experts at the end of the season with a potential win in the conference championship game and a bowl game, too.

The Aggies and Longhorns have led the way for college football in Texas for years, but these Cougars have a better record this year than either of those teams, and have had the most conference success.

We're noticing! Good luck Saturday, Cougars.
