Now that the dust has settled and we know that the New England Patriots will face the Philadelphia Eagles for Super Bowl 52, we can talk about the history made in the NFC Championship game between the Eagles and the Vikings. What did they do? The QBs were simply there - both starting quarterbacks who faced off against each other are both born and raised Texans. And it was the first time it's ever happened.

According to KHOU, when Vikings' Case Keenum (Brownwood, TX) and Eagles' Nick Foles from Austin took the field, it was the first time two players raised in Texas played each other in the conference championship.

There were 5 other NFL quarterbacks from the same state that faced off in the conference title game with the most recent one in 1993 when Joe Montana from the Chiefs (Pennsylvania) and Jim Kelly from the Bills (Pennsylvania) went after it.

Super Bowl 52 will air Sunday February 4 at 5:30 p.m. on NBC.
