Here are just a few of the many events going on around East Texas this weekend:

Broadway Square Mall - Tyler
Friday beginning at 4:30p and Saturday beginning at 9:30a

Firefighters from all over will be in Tyler over the weekend competing in five exhausting challenges that test their skills as professional firefighters. The challenge is being described as the toughest two minutes in sports. Attend the event for free and there is a kid's course for children too.

downtown Tyler
Saturday (13th) 5p - 12m

The brick streets of downtown Tyler will be filled with the sounds of Texas Music as Whiskey Myers, Charlie Robinson, The Bigsbys and Jon Wolfe play on the square Saturday night. Tickets for the festival can be purchased at the gate.

Movies In The Park

Bergfeld Park - Tyler
Saturday (13th) 7:30p

Tyler Parks and Recreation continues their Movies In The Park series by showing "Rear Window" on the big screen at the amphitheater. "Rear Window" stars James Stewart and Grace Kelly. The event is free! Just bring a blanket to sit on or wrap up in and some snacks and enjoy the movie.

Needtobreathe In Concert

Belcher Center - Longview
Saturday (13th) 7:30p

Needtobreathe will be in concert at LeTourneau University's S.E. Belcher Center. Needtobreather put on an awesome show, a must see for this weekend. They have stopped by the Mix 93-1 studios before and played acoustically for a group of Mix VIPs - the performance was amazing.
