Driving on just about any road in East Texas you're bound to see a truck (and sometime a car) with a vinyl graphic or sticker of some kind referring to them being a 'redneck'! Rednecks often time use the nickname 'Bubba' to describe themselves and drink a lot of beer and watch NASCAR too! I'd say curiosity got the best of me because I did a quick search online to see if there was a list of the most redneck cities in Texas and sure enough there was!

Roadsnacks.net completed a survey of their own to find the most redneck cities in the state of Texas using some stereotypical data about rednecks to compile their list! Some of the criteria used included the number of trailer parks within a city, number of dollar stores or Walmart's in the vacinity, number of high school graduates and more. Once they crunched the numbers they found the most redneck city in Texas to be in southeast Texas just outside of Beaumont in Vidor!  Congratulations to Vidor!

East Texas wasn't left out of the top ten though! Trinity, Hallsville and Carthage all appeared on the top 10 list of most redneck cities in Texas.

Citing a high concentration of tobacco stores and bait stores landed Trinity in the fourth spot on the list, while Hallsville claimed the ninth spot for having five Walmarts in less than 30 minutes drive from home!

Roadsnacks.net is quite colorful when it comes to describing the cities on the list! But I'm not sure if living in Hallsville is all that bad or even Trinity or Carthage! Having this many dollar stores or big box retailers around mean you can get what you want, when you want and where you want plus save a little money too! As far as the number of bait stores around Trinity, well, there's a couple of big lakes there and that means fishermen and women and sportsmen will be coming through town where they'll be contributing to the economy, so be proud Trinity, Carthage and Hallsville!

Do you think this list is accurate? If not, what city do you feel should be the most redneck city in Texas? Just tell me what city and why in the comment section below!
