Halloween is almost here, and many people all over the country are revisiting their favorite scary movies.

StreamingObserver.com pulled together a report of favorite horror films by state in time for Halloween. Texas' choice will not surprise you, or will it?

The report has some interesting results geographically. For example, Coloradans love the Stanley Kubrick film, The Shining, while those in Maryland are more obsessed with The Blair Witch Project.

In Texas, we are most excited by The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

You'll also find that some movies are popular in several states. The Silence of the Lambs, Shaun of the Dead and The Exorcist are a few names you'll see repeated.

The infographic was gleaned from analyses of data from Amazon MTurk surveying, Rotten Tomatoes, and Google Trends data.
