Hearing these cringe-worthy Dad Jokes now may help us rehearse our reactions for Thanksgiving Day when we hear them again.  Some of them are so goofy we just have to laugh.

If your dad is anything like mine, you know any silence at a big family gathering will only last so long.  Dad is using that brief quiet time to think of his next great wisecrack, and it's usually only a few seconds before he's able to deliver.  Sometimes it's hilarious, and sometimes, well...you know.  It's a Dad Joke.  Oh how we love our dads, and Dad Jokes are just one of the many things that make them great.  And weird and corny.  And great!

How about these doozies.

The website Rare came up with its Top Thanksgiving Dad Jokes, and defined them as the "anti-jokes," which are so bad they make us cringe, and then probably laugh.  Or at least let out a half-laugh-slash-grunt and think to ourselves, "Ok, that was kinda good."  See what you think.

If you've got more, send them in.  With Dad cracking these jokes all day it will probably take the tension away from all of Aunt Linda's questions about when you'll get married and have babies, and it will lessen the blow of that side eye you get from your mom each time you check your phone.  Dad may save the day with these corny wisecracks.

And you know a lack of laughter never stops Dad from firing off more goofy jokes.  Rare.com puts it this way:  "My family told me to stop telling Thanksgiving jokes, but I told them I couldn’t quit “cold turkey”.

Have a nice Thanksgiving.  If Dad is around, we know you will.
