Running in heels isn't the wisest choice, but some still try.

On Saturday (August 18th), an unidentified woman who tried to prove she could run quickly in heels had nearly crossed Interstate 35 after leaving a bar in Austin, Texas, when she was hit by an SUV.

According to Fox News, the maroon SUV dragged the woman 15 yards as she tried to get to the other side of the interstate.  Witnesses said the driver didn't stop, but kept going until it was out of sight.

Luckily, the woman survived the hit, but required surgery to stop bleeding on her brain.  Police responded twenty minutes later and found the driver 21-year old Felipe Hernandez pulled over on the side of the road crying.

He told police via the affidavit:

He knew he had hit someone, and proceeded through the northbound service road light, made a U-turn, and sat in his vehicle crying before returning to the scene.

Hernandez was charged with failure to stop and render aid.
