The news a few weeks ago caused quite a stir. A Texas veterinarian boasted about her "first bow kill" on Facebook, and it happened to be her neighbor's cat. But she may not be able to practice as a licensed vet much longer.

A grand jury decided not to bring the case to trial, and that upset animal lovers who wanted to see her punished. Although she may not face criminal charges, former Brenham vet Kristen Lindsey may still lose her license.

The Texas Veterinary Medical Examiners Board says Lindsey violated the code of conduct tied to her veterinary license, and could decide to take the license away from her. The vet clinic where she worked has already fired her.

People Magazine is one of several national outlets to run the story, and they say the board could make a decision on the license in October.
