One 15-year-old thought it would be funny to pack an alarm clock that resembles a bomb in his carry-on at the airport, but then he went directly to jail without passing "Go."

Peel police arrested the 15-year-old at Toronto Regional Airport after the object was noticed in his luggage. Then the police sent out a warning after the arrest on Twitter:

Not only did the stunt result in the teen's arrest, but it also shut down the screening area and the terminal was evacuated for three hours, causing flight delays. The teen wasn't arrested for the "bomb" since it wasn't a bomb, but for "interfering with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property," which is considered a minor offense.

"The moral of the story is make sure the items you pack are allowed on a plane," Constable George Tudos told CBC News. "I mean, what did he think was going to happen if he packed something like this?"

The bomb-style alarm clock is called the "Defusable Clock" and is sold by Nootropic Design in Minneapolis. It sells for $45.95. Even the company warns on its website:

Dear Pranksters:

Yeah, you. I know you are excited to scare your friends and coworkers with a phony bomb, but use your head. This kind of device can make people freak out and call the authorities. So don't bring this to school or to work, and certainly don't bring it anywhere near an airport! Seriously, don't get yourself into trouble."

Someone obviously wasn't listening.
