Your vote, it's one of the precious things given to you by the Constitution of the United States of America and one of the most important things you can do as a U.S. citizen!  Don't let it go to waste!

Doesn't it feel good to vote?  I think it does. There are things that motivate us to get to the polls, besides the obvious opportunity to weigh in on the next four years. The kids are talking about the election at school, and if Mama doesn't vote, they will be on my case!  What else encourages you to get to the polls?

Its been dominating the news for months now, the Presidential election! Tuesday, November 8th a President elect will be picked by the American people and sworn into office January 20, 2017! Before that happens though we've got to get out there and vote for your favorite candidate - whether they're red, blue, green or purple - you've got to vote!

With the first day of early voting in the 2016 Presidential election behind us, more than 5,000 Smith County residents turned out yesterday to cast their ballot early.

Texans are heading to the polls today (Tuesday, November 4th) and they'll be deciding who'll be steering the State of Texas from the Governor's office. East Texans are also heading to the polls to make some big decisions facing their communities, like approving or denying the sale of alcohol in their cities.
