Memphis has a great musical tradition and rock music will definitely be on display as part of the Beale Street Music Festival. Alice in Chains, the Black Keys and Smashing Pumpkins have been selected as the headliners for the three-day music weekend.
The lineup for the 2013 edition of the New Orleans Jazzfest has been announced, and the Dave Matthews Band, the Black Keys, Phoenix and Frank Ocean are among the artists lined up for the annual event, which this year runs two weekends: April 26-28 and May 2-5.
The Black Keys were one of the top nominees when the Grammy Award nominations were announced last month and the band has confirmed they will take the stage to perform at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 10 in Los Angeles.
Their last studio album, 'El Camino,' is less than a year old, and they've been on the road more or less constantly since it came out, but the Black Keys don't sound like they're in any hurry to take time off.
In addition to their current blockbuster tour, the Black Keys are popping up all over the place. First their special appearance on Anthony Bordain’s ‘No Reservations,’ and now they’ll be making their acting debut on Comedy Central’s ‘Workaholics.’

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is wrapping up its second of two sold-out weekends today (April 22). This year marks the fifth Coachella appearance for the Black Keys, and the first as headliners. Seeing as they worked their way up the lineup over the years, the Akron, Ohio duo believes it has made them “super-tough.”
Since the death of Levon Helm on Thursday, rock musicians everywhere have been paying tribute to the late drummer of the Band. Coachella headliners the Black Keys did their part over the weekend, enlisting John Fogerty for a cover of the Band’s ‘The Weight.’
MTV.com premiered the new video for the Black Keys' 'Gold on the Ceiling' from the album 'El Camino.' The video features some behind-the-scenes footage of the band getting ready for a show at last year's album release concert at Webster Hall in New York.
