Slash Shows Off His Legendary Guitar Skills for Comedy Central’s Charlie Sheen Roast

Former Guns N’ Roses/current Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash has been part of some iconic TV moments, such as the Michael Jackson 30th anniversary special in 2001, the 100th episode of ‘South Park’ in 2003 and the Super Bowl XLV Halftime Show in 2011 with the Black Eyed Peas.

It’s not too soon to add this one to his impressive list: Playing guitar during actor Charlie Sheen’s Comedy Central roast, which will air Sept. 19 at 10 p.m. ET.

Slash to Play Homecoming Gig [AUDIO]

This summer, Slash will play a homecoming gig in Stoke-on-Trent, England, the town where he was raised. According to SundayMercury.net, the show will mark the first time that the 45-year-old rocker has played in the town in many years. Details on the venue will come out later this week. Slash Postpones Japan Gigs

Slash was scheduled to play in Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan this week but, due to the tragic earthquake and tsunami that hit the country, has had to postpone the shows. Cry Baby Pedal Documentary [VIDEO]

There’s a new documentary out about the number one selling effects pedal of all time and some big names in music are featured in the flick. It’s called Cry Baby: The Pedal that Rocks the World and includes commentary from Eddie Van Halen, Jerry Cantrell, Slash, Kirk Hammett, Buddy Guy and others. The pedal, which was invented in 1966, played a role in hits like Jimi Hendrix’s “Voodoo Child (Slight Return),” Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” and Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” The first two parts of the film are up on YouTube.
