Motley Crue have never been a band with a hidden agenda, so as I entered The Joint last night (Feb. 15) at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas, I knew exactly what I was getting myself into — I just wasn’t expecting it to feel so good.
In honor of Motley Crue‘s much anticipated residency in Las Vegas, the Mayor of Sin City, Carolyn Goodman, has declared today, Feb. 3, 2012, as “Motley Crue Day.” See what decades of rock ‘n’ roll debauchery and decadence will get you? Your very own day in the city of debauchery and decadence.
Last month, Mötley Crüe announced that they will take up residency in Las Vegas for two weeks for a series of marathon shows that will run from Feb. 3-19. Not only do we have Nikki Sixx's take on the shows, but we also have you chance to win a fly-away trip for 2 to Vegas to not only see the show, but meet the band, too!
Blockbuster tour alert! Well, if all those rumors about Motley Crue breaking up after their Las Vegas residency were getting you down, here’s a new rumor to cheer you up! The rock site BraveWords has it on good authority that Motley Crue and KISS are gearing up to join forces for a mega fall 2012 tour run.
Nikki Sixx has gone on record to say that Motley Crue‘s residency in Las Vegas, which will launch in February and run for three weeks, is only scratching the surface of what he believes “will be the biggest probably four to five years of the band’s career.”
Things are thrilling in the Motley Crue camp, as the band gears up for the first-ever rock band residency in Las Vegas. However, despite all the hoopla and history making coinciding with the Feb. 3-19 stay in Sin City, singer Vince Neil said he is considering splitting from the band after the Vegas shows wrap.
Word on the street is that Motley Crue will have their own Las Vegas show starting in 2012. Move over Siegfried and Roy and Celine Dion. They will be the first hard rock group to get their own Vegas show!
As expected, Motley Crue vocalist Vince Neil has pleaded guilty in Las Vegas Justice Court to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. The charge stemmed from an incident last March in which Neil allegedly harassed his ex-girlfriend Alicia Jacobs and her friends after a show at the Las Vegas Hilton. Had Neil not pleaded guilty, he would have faced a more serious charge of battery constituting domestic violence.
Vince Neil has agreed to a deal which will have the Motley Crue singer plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and pay a $1,000 fine related to an alleged domestic violence incident involving his ex-girlfriend, former Las Vegas television entertainment reporter Alicia Jacobs. In return, county prosecutors in Las Vegas will drop one more serious count of domestic battery Neil was facing.
