This weekend marks the unofficial end of summer 2021. Before we close the book on summer and say goodbye, there's still plenty of things to do in East Texas this weekend.
If one of your favorite things to do during the summer is pack some frosty beverages on ice and head to the lake, cool! Just don't hop on the boat.
Texas Game Wardens said over the 4th of July weekend they made nearly 60 arrests for boating while intoxicated, and made contact with 30,000 boaters across the state as part of the crackdown.
There was a warning issued yesterday not to eat some of the fish caught in East Texas, and if you've recently been on a fishing trip to these sites you might want to take heed.
The advisory came from the Texas State Health Department, and includes Sam Rayburn Reservoir and the B.A. Steinhagen Reservoir.
According to News Channel 4 in Oklahoma City,
"A 1969 Camaro and a 1950′s Chevy were discovered at the lake when officials were testing new sonar equipment on Tuesday afternoon".
