Did you miss the Foo Fighters on Saturday Night Live this past weekend? The were on just in time to promote their 7th studio album, Wasting Light, which is coming out on Tuesday! They performed "Rope" and "Walk" on SNL. Check out the video of both performances after the jump.
The Foo Fighters’ long awaited new album comes out next week, and they’ve got tons going on to get ready for it. Their new documentary, Foo Fighters: Back and Forth, debuted in 80 theaters across the country yesterday and on Vh1 on Friday at 7 PM. Then, they’ll play Saturday Night Live on Saturday. The Foo Fighters are set to play a show in New Zealand to help raise money for the recent earthquake in that country. Grohl and the guys will play a gig on Tuesday to raise some bucks for the CHCH Earthquake Relief Fund. An earthquake hit New Zealand back on February 22nd.
Who are the best drummers in rock? Rolling Stone magazine polled their readers and coming out on top is late Led Zeppelin kitman John Bonham. Right behind him is late Who drummer Keith Moon. Rush’s Neil Peart comes in third, Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl takes the four spot and Ringo Starr rounds out the top five
The Foo Fighters’ new album doesn’t come out until April 12th but they’ve already recorded a video for a track on the effort. It’s for the song “White Limo” and the clip is shot in the style of a lo-fi 90s VHS video
MTV was lucky enough to chat with the Foo Fighters over GRAMMY weekend in Los Angeles and drummer Taylor Hawkins filled them in on the band’s plans between now and when their new album comes out in April
Foo Fighters are finished with their brand new album, and although the record STILL doesn’t have a release date, the band did perform the album in its entirety at a surprise gig in Santa Barbara on Friday night
