Alter Bridge fans down under were treated to a bonus when Slash jumped onstage to help Myles Kennedy — who is the vocalist on Slash‘s upcoming solo disc — and friends fire through ‘Rise Today.’

With three albums under their belt, Alter Bridge celebrate one of the largest shows of their career with the upcoming release of a DVD documenting their Wembley Arena concert in London earlier this year.

Back in 2009 Slash chose Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy to sing on his debut solo album, Slash,  and now they are  teaming up again for its follow-up. Myles told MTV where they are at in the process.  Hear the audio after the jump.
