3 doors down

In conjunction with their upcoming greatest hits disc due out this November, 3 Doors Down will spend the majority of the winter months out on a run of co-headlining U.S. tour dates with Daughtry. The trek kicks off  on Nov. 17 in Tunica, Miss., and is scheduled to wrap on Dec. 15 in Anaheim, Calif.

3 Doors Down have enjoyed a decade-plus of hit after hit after hit, and now the Mississippi rockers will package all of their favorites onto one best-of disc, with a trio of new tracks adding a little something special to the release.

As stages go, the one in Tampa was just as good as any other for 3 Doors Down to debut a new song. However, this stage came with the platform to showcase their track to millions of viewers worldwide as it was part of the Republican National Convention coverage that’s going on this week.

3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell was arrested for ‘DUI-other’ on the morning of Thursday, July 19, for reportedly driving under the influence of a narcotic. He was taken in by D’Iberville, Mississippi police after his involvement in a car accident where he allegedly failed to stop at an intersection and crashed into a pickup truck.

3 Doors Down are very much a family, pretty much keeping most of the group intact since day one. So it with sadness that the band announces that founding guitarist Matt Roberts is stepping away from the band.

3 Doors Down drummer Greg Upchurch tell us that the band likes to bring the rock onstage, but at the same time tries to keep things rated PG for the younger folks in the audience.

I ran across an interesting story this morning on Loudwire.com, and wanted to share.  Rockers like Nickelback, Hinder, Saving Abel, and 3 Doors Down are sending out prayers and condolences to the family's of the victims of Saturday's horrific stage collapse.  More after the jump.
