Strong thunderstorms are possible across all of East Texas today as a cold front moves through the area.  As the cold front enters the western parts of East Texas they will begin to strengthen. More after the jump.

This line of thunderstorms will move through the area during the late morning and early afternoon hours.  The main threat from these storms is going to be strong winds and small hail, but there is also a chance for an isolated tornado.  KLTV 7's Grant Dade says right now the tornado threat does not appear that great.

In addition to wind and hail, some areas could see very heavy rain.  Most of East Texas has the potential to see between a half inch up to two inches in some isolated areas!

Behind the cold front, much cooler temperatures will greet us.  In fact, by Friday morning most of the area could be at the freezing mark!

UPDATE: A tornado watch is now in effect until 6pm for all of East Texas - except Hunt and Kaufman Counties.
