As Steven Tyler puts it, "Janie's got a gun?" Nah. Janie's got a fund.

He just announced this week that he's part of Janie's Fund, which will help abused girls get on their feet.

Steven tweeted on Monday, "IT'S HERE...PROUD TO ANNOUNCE MY NEW CHARITY @JANIESFUND. JOIN ME & STAND FOR ABUSED GIRLS @ http://JANIESFUND.ORG "

He is the biggest user of all caps ever, in the history of the world! But he's not yelling. It's just Steven being Steven, and that means standing out from the crowd.

The bigger point is this. Girls who are abused growing up have a long road ahead, and Janie's Fund helps put them in touch with resources that they need, like the National Child Abuse Hotline, and group homes that can help them find people to talk to, and feel supported.

Steven says the idea for the project came after he met a women who had been abused, while they were both in a personal treatment recovery program for separate issues in the 1980s.

Now Steven is working to give a voice to women like her, who aren't often heard.

Don't you love a rock start that does some good in the world? Steven says he'll announce the executive council for Janie's Fund in early 2016, and we'll learn then if other celebrity friends are involved.
